All The New Features of The Rs. 2000 Notes Explained

Modi’s move to ban the old Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes at midnight of the 8th has caused quite the uproar with people frantically trying to get rid of their old notes before the veto kicks in. The suddenness of this announcement had precisely the desired effect however as people in possession of counterfeit notes were left stranded on Wednesday morning with notes that weren’t worth the paper they were printed on.
To ensure that such a drastic measure is not needed in the future their decided to up their currency game and make the new notes damn near impossible to counterfeit. In addition they’re adding a new Rs. 2000 note to the mix and although the reasons behind this move aren’t completely clear we assume it’s to ensure that no notes of any kind exist in this denomination. So with the old notes officially obsolete and the new Rs. 500 notes ready to roll in on Friday, let’s take a look at the innovative design that make these new Rs. 2000 notes the perfect anti-corruption vehicles.

We would also like to confirm that the rumours about GPS embedded notes are entirely false. The idea that a microtracker would be attached to every Rs. 2000 note was a product of misinformation and a propagation of WhatsApp so you can rest easy with your new notes knowing that Big Brother won’t be watching...at least not from your wallet.
