It’s easy to get caught up in the debilitating frustration at the borderline traffic anarchy and revolting pollution of the ocean Ganesh Chaturti invariably brings with it during its 10 days of seaside inebriation each year. However, we thought it would be nicer be a little more positive in our outlook this year considering things are definitely getting better.
More people than ever before have opted to order for eco-friendly idols from places like these and media bigwigs are doing a better job of shining some light on the major issues as well, what with DNA’s Eco Ganesha being back for its 5th consecutive year. So rather than poke holes in thousands of years of tradition on the first day of Chaturthi, the day millions of Hindus around the country will bring their idols home, we decided to focus our efforts on gaining some perspective instead.
