Artists In Pakistan Fight Against Violence Using Giant Posters Of Children
When someone slaps you, despite the popular saying, our first reaction is to raise your hand and slap the person even harder. Quite ordinary perhaps, partially responsible for a good portion of the world's most horrific wars too. Recognising this very nature at the core of most humans, Pakistanis came together to work out a way to stop the US from attacking them over and over again. The ingenuity of the device employed by the artists, is much more powerful than any military hardware you could get your hands on.

We can only imagine how crippling it might be look down only to have the face of a helpless child—a child whose life you destroyed with a simple, uncaring click often from millions of miles away—stare right back at you. The intention is simple. They only want to create a sense of empathy and introspection in the heart of the attacker. Ultimately, the policy makers will be coerced into entering a dialogue, which will lead to decisions that can save several innocent lives. Or not. One way or the other, it's worth a try.
