How You Can Help Feed 1,00,000 People In India & Pakistan On August 14 & 15
A volunteer-based organization that tackles hunger and food wastage, The Robin Hood Army, in collaboration with Scoopwhoop and Uber, aims to serve food to 1,00,000 less fortunate people on both sides of the India-Pakistan border this Independence Day weekend.
"On RHA’s first night of distribution, we realized that helping the less fortunate might feel good personally, but honestly feeding 50 odd people a night, once a week is not going to create any real difference in a country where millions are starving."

"As of 2015, chapters in both India and Pakistan's cities have been thriving with volunteers, restaurants and local partners. Although the two countries are segregated by physical borders, there is tremendous collaborative learning that takes place across both. Volunteers share stories, lessons and innovative ideas and techniques with one another, so that chapters can implement the same know-how in their locality. Although Mumbai and Karachi are far away, there is no limit to the kinds of things the Karachi team does that inspires us to work in the same manner, and vice-versa. The power of Social Media to share experiences, and Whatsapp and Facebook groups to share knowledge, has enabled all of us at RHA to become part of something much bigger. That is truly what our unified goal this Independence Day is all about- two countries, over two days, fighting the same battle against one of the world's deadliest ills- Hunger,"
