Authenticity is rare to find, especially in a city like Mumbai, that has chains of restaurants popping up everywhere, each claiming to serve the very best of every cuisine under the sun. Asian food especially, has so many variants and thanks to India, Indian-Chinese (more fondly known as Chindian) has actually became a thing. We’re just here to casually mention that if you’re looking for some authentic Thai and Japanese food, we’ve found a place for you (and it isn’t even all that expensive!)
‘The Blue’ is Pali Hill’s latest addition, started up by Seefah Ketchaiyo and Karan Bane in December, 2016. Sushi (the current cult favourite) made with the freshest ingredients, well-seasoned Thai and Japanese delicacies, make for the entirety of their menu. They may not have the largest selection when it comes to meat, but their flavours more than make up for it. While Seefah focuses on pushing out the Thai food at The Blue, Karan is behind the Japanese. The duo have to deal with quite the crowd, more so, since their restaurant sticks to minimal aesthetics, both in design and size.
If you’re in no mood to wait for a table, you can order in from their takeaway menu. Thank god for that, because we’re soy into this. (Sorry, not sorry.)
