II. Jio MAMI’s 21st Mumbai Film Festival

Every year the Mumbai Film Festival is filled to the brim with exceptional film-making. Organised by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Images, the festival holds many panels, workshops and master classes for young budding cinephiles and for veterans. Enigmatic individuals from the industry like Anurag Kashyap, Darren Aronofsky, Vishal Bharadwaj to a name a few.

III. Delhi International film festival

According to their website, ‘The Delhi International Film Festival is organized in association with New Delhi Municipal Council. The Festival, started in 2012, with Dada Saheb Phalke Award winning Director Sri Adoor Gopalakrishnan as Chairman, showcases films from more than 50 countries’ Additionally it’s an, ‘International Film Festival, conceptualized to commemorate a hundred years of association of Delhi with Indian films and the NDMC in 2012, in association with New Delhi Municipal Council and Information & Broadcasting ministry, has now grown into a global platform joining hands to collaborate with a multitude of film festivals in many countries or offering support to a host of upcoming festivals across the world. DIFF aims at understanding the science, art and emotion behind cinema, reaching it out to the audiences far and wide and promoting Indian Cinema, Art and Culture.’

IV. International Film Festival of India, Goa

Started way back in 1952, the first ever International Film Festival of India was organized by the Films Division, Government of India, with the first Prime Minister of India – Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) aims at providing a common platform to the cinemas around the world to showcase the excellence of the art of film making. This Film Festival accepts only International entries, however, the Indian Panorama section is open to Indian films.
