Nightfall often brings with it the stirring of ravenous appetites and if it's some gastronomic indulgence you like served best when it's dark, you've come to the right place. Devouring At Dawn: 17 Of Mumbai’s Best Places For Late Night Munchies Vol. I sorted us out for quite a few months with options scattered across the city but we knew (or rather, our readers forced us to reconsider) that there were a few more go-to place where we could find some solid grub when darkness prevails and most shutters glint steely in the moonlight.

Don't be daunted if your insomniac bi-weekly prowls on Bombay streets looking for some decent food don't yield much, it takes some serious combing to zero in on the ones that do it for you. Here's a range of options that we've unearthed that offer everything from mouthwatering kebabs to flavour-filled biryani and some sinfully creamy butter chicken on their often no-nonsense menus. We're not saying they're the healthiest foods or the most refined eateries, but we assure you that they'll hit the spot and have you feeling like all is right with the world when your midnight munchies are banished.
