It is extremely commendable that the state authorities are taking such proactive measure towards reformation and rehabilitation of prisoners. Unless we provide them with the opportunities and skills needed to turn their lives around, the entire ordeal of imprisonment actually goes to waste--a fact often ignored by many. As per usual with so many of Kerala's programs these days, we hope that other states starts following suit soon enough.
