Zostel is India’s first chain backpacker’s hostels that intends to revolutionise the way we travel. Along with providing clean and safe accommodation, this hostel is a great spot to mingle with other travellers, exchange stories and enrich the experience all together.

Known for its quirky interiors and budgeted rates, Zostel has already become the talk of the town. As of today, in India, it is present in 16 locations but few are more unique and hospitable as their newest branch in Spiti valley.

Named Asia’s highest traveller’s hostel, this one is situated in the cold desert of North India that stretches from Ladakh to Kinnaur, and the valley itself is at an altitude of 4270m. Regarded as Ladakh’s lesser known neighbour it is said to be explored by only those who dare to drift away from tourist trails.

The Zostel in Spiti is at an elevation of 3750m. It offers a 6 bed mixed dorm, deluxe private rooms, Alpine tents and outdoor tents to give you the best star-gazing affair. They also have tons of board games and trekking expeditions.

Once you traverse through the mountain-battling headwinds and the searing cold to get to Spiti, this hostel will definitely make the adventure worthwhile. Travel shapes your perspective in life and experiencing it in Asia’s highest hostel is only likely to elevate that feeling.
