Book Yourself A Surprise Holiday Destination

Meghna Mathew

Rarely do we come across individuals who dislike travelling –– what’s there not to love, right? A new destination, its culture, people, and food! Once you get there, all is well.

What may be a pain, however, is the decision-making, bookings, preparations, and all sorts of logistics that need figuring out, before you set out for your travels. The hassle, especially if it is a family vacation, can often overpower the positive mood.

Attempting to allow some respite here and maybe even adding in an element of fun and surprise is WanderTrust, a travel organisation that plans and books surprise holidays for you based on your interests! Here’s how it works –– first you fill out their detailed survey that questions you about your preference in vacation type (adventure, family, honeymoon, etc.), destination type (mountains, beaches, heritage sites, etc.), and several other criteria including your budget. Their travel experts then find the perfect fit based on your survey choices and a few days prior to departure, a teaser mail gives you hints such as the weather, what to pack, and more. Finally, the day before departure you receive a customised envelope with all your travel details!

A good motivation to go this surprise-travel route is their ‘Surprise Trip!’ highlight on their Instagram. Once you see the reactions of their ‘wanderers’ finding out about their destinations, it will make you want to experience it too.

All that is left to do after this is to embark on your surprise trip and make the most of it. Travelling can be an extremely special experience for many, and WanderTrust’s process adds a little bit of spice to the traditional holiday experience

Of course, many would be understandably wary of agreeing to someone else planning out your holiday, but they may never be able to say, “I once went on a surprise holiday!”
