Dial-In To The 1900s: The Vintage Collectibles On Instagram Has All Things Vintage

Samiksha Chaudhary

As kids, a visit to your grandparents meant rummaging through their things and finding objects that were no longer a part of everyday life. As humans, we are always fascinated with objects of the past. In a way, they function as convenient time machines to know about a place in time. Personally, I have always been fascinated with typewriters and vintage cameras. Hence, my late grandfather’s 1957 Cole Typewriter has a special space in my heart.

If you too love all things vintage or have always been someone who is interested in the art of collecting vintage accessories, The Vintage Collectibles on Instagram is the place for you. The Vintage Collectibles shared in their Instagram post that their project had started as a childhood hobby. However, in no time, they realised the rarity that is there to accessing and purchasing antiques and vintage items at rates that weren’t as heavy on the pocket.

The Vintage Collectibles is, thus, a way of sharing the gift of vintage among a larger audience.

Among the collectibles available on the platform are vintage clocks, vinyl records, cameras, record players, radios, typewriters, pocket watches, compass, binoculars, dial landline phones and fountain pens. If you aren’t a big fan of vintage and antique collectibles, they can be beautiful and thoughtful gifts for your parents or grandparents.

As the world progresses towards newer and faster technology, these antique and vintage collectibles function as sweet reminders of a forgotten time and the forgotten art of collecting these items.

You can view their entire collection here.
