Head Down To Ministry Of New For A Day Of Beach-Inspired Yoga Courtesy Soul & Surf

Shireen Jamooji

There’s nothing that will ruin your mood faster than being exhausted and aching before your day has even begun. Most of us would fix this by heading to the coffeemaker and trying to sneak in a post-lunch nap but the revolutionary co-working space Ministry of New in Fort has the perfect solution. Their new venture brings the Kerala-based company Soul and Surf to Mumbai in an attempt to imbue a bustling city with a moment of tranquillity.
They decided yoga would be the perfect way to shake up the sedentary lifestyle of their members and get them away from their desks for a spell. On September 10, Soul and Surf’s unique blend of exercise and positivity will bring a bit of beach life to the city with their introductory two-hour workshop with yogi-extraordinaire, Hayley Mia.
The event will be a celebration of all things harmonious with Hayley leading a session in Vinyasa flow yoga to a soundtrack of soothing inspirational tunes. To continue their love of eco-friendly and positive change Ministry of New has also tied up with Rumi Earth to provide you with 100 per cent organic yoga mats to complement the launch. After your de-stress-sesh you can even join your fellow yogis for a delicious and healthy brunch hosted on the premises to continue your healthy habits all day long.

The idea is to make the yoga classes a regular affair, available to both members and non-members, to be held once a week in the Ministry’s library space. Hayley is totally on board with this plan, as she says, “Since our first interaction with Ministry of New, there has been instant synergy. Both of our entities keep the customer at the center and are not limited by traditional notions of how an ‘office’ or ‘yoga practice’ should be – and that is why we attract the same kind of progressive audience.” With her spiritual guidance and Ministry of New’s dedication to excellence they’re well on their way to becoming the most peaceful office in the city.
