Head To Asia’s First Cannabis & Ayurvedic Wellness Retreat In Kerala

Meghna Mathew

After long and hard days of work amidst a pandemic, there is only so much that seems to ease one’s mind. Exercise, naps, reading, and the occasional outing seem to distract us from the continual weight of our days, but genuine mindfulness remains difficult to obtain.

Here is where retreats come in and allow us to step back from reality, gain a new perspective, and simply slow down. India’s Ayurvedic practices fit right into this sphere, with its many therapeutic properties. Add this to the various benefits of cannabis and you have yourself a dream retreat.

Poonthottam Ayurvedasram

Poonthottam Ayurvedasram in Pallakad, Kerala is Asia’s first Ayurvedic-cannabis wellness retreat. In partnership with the Bombay Hemp Company, this holistic retreat focuses on Ayurvedic therapies, yoga, meditation, diet plans, and more. Assisted by hemp or cannabis supplements (if need be), guests may be encouraged to incorporate all of this into their daily lives after a consultation.

The retreat sprawls across 28 rooms and a large garden where medicinal plants and herbs are grown. Hemp seeds, oil, and powder are used in various ways and integrated with the food as well as toiletries.

Poonthottam Ayurvedasram

The benefits of hemp are not as well known as those of Ayurveda. By bringing the two together, this retreat takes a novel yet educated approach to health and wellness. Amidst the dense greenery of Kerala, Poonthottam Ayurvedasram is a serene getaway and also an effective cleanse from all that bogs us down in our daily lives.

Head there for a journey to better health and a cleaner mind!
