Homegrown Staff

Bangalore’s Holystoked’s Cave skatepark is all set to host an event that is an amalgamation of newly discovered yet thriving sub-cultures of Indian. The sxene™ is a collaboration between its parent company ®RECK and OnePlus. ®RECK works towards creating a platform for thriving musicians that offers them the freedom to innovate. Offering activities and performances centred around everything that transpires within the realms of skate, hip-hop, street and punk cultures, this event stands out for it’s unconventional choice of venue — a skatepark.

With quite a stellar line-up, The sxeneTM will have Chennai-based alternative rock band The F16s performing a throwback set along with some of their unreleased tracks that will be performed for the first time at this event. Formed in 2012, The F16s has already enjoyed performances at Magnetic Fields, the Hornbill Festival, NH7 Weekender, and ZimaFest, to name a few, since their inception. Instrumentalist, producer and rapper DE•O along with musicians Harshit ‘HashBass’ Misra and Bharath Kumar will be playing the opening set of the night.

Beer pong, a skating workshop, mouthwatering finger food are some of the other things to look forward to at this event. Witness graffiti art by Holystoked or get tattooed by Mykel Kumar of the Pumpkin Patch tattoo studio. Kumar will also be tattooing the winner of the best tattoo idea

contest, which will be held in the days leading up to the event.
