#HGSessions 006 || Shantanu Ghosh (Sleepwalker)

Admin
Tucked away in the cobblestone alleys of Pondicherry, there’s a motley group of millenials lounging on terraces by the ocean. Surrounded by the din of peace and creativity, many have found their way into innovative career spaces and Shantanu Ghosh in particular has managed to create a niche for himself within India’s electronic music circuit since he first kicked off his sound under the moniker Sleepwalker in 2006.
Since then, he’s come to be recognised for his arsenal of futuristic sounds& his experimental approach towards dance music, not to mention Pondy’s premier dance music export. We’ve had our eyes peeled for a spot on the HG Sessions banner to slot him in because he’s never failed to deliver forward-thinking sounds that surprise and as we expected, he’s lived up to his reputation with this set.
Here’s what he had to say about it:
“I’ve showcased tunes from the deeper corners of House / Techno with some Nu Disco takes towards the end. Kept it balanced between subtle hypnotic grooves & the cinematic side of dance music, which is what fascinates me most because of it’s mysterious nature & headphone relevance.”
