Indian Accent Opened In New York Last Night, See Their Incredible Menu

One stuffed kulcha with pastrami and mustard butter please!

After months of preparation, celebrated New Delhi restaurant Indian Accent made its debut in New York on Thursday night. It took some time and experimentation to nail a balanced mix of classic Indian flavours and an upscale presentation, says owner Rohit Khattar, but with experimental Indian desserts to butter chicken bread, the team is as ready as it could be and the restaurant has already been taking reservations.

Having opened its doors in New Delhi back in 2009, Indian Accent has been a huge success bringing old-fashioned dishes with modern twists and presentation, hitting home with flavours reminiscent of all our childhood favourites. "It looks beautiful but when you bite into it, 'Oh my God, it’s just like a dish that I used to have'," says Khattar. "A lot of Indians have that 'aha' moment.”

Currently Indian Accent in New York is only open for dinner, but in time will offer lunch as well. With both a tasting menu and an a la carte one, they’ve got our lips smacking with Chef Manish Mehrotra featuring signature dishes like sweet pickle ribs with sundried mango and onion seeds, and bread with fillings like butter chicken and saag paneer. Check out the drool-worthy menu posted below.
