Jodi's SS17 Lookbook - 'Dressing Like A Girl'

Tansha Vohra

Founded by Gauri Verma and Karuna Laungani, Jodi is an Indian fashion label that honours, preserves and cultivates local craft. They use 100% natural Indian textiles, and have incorporated the art of Hand-Block printing across their work, thus highlighting the emphasis they place on prints. The concept for their SS17 collection is something we were drawn to - the focus is on ‘Dressing like a Girl.’ But before you jump the gun, hear them out. Their lookbook says, “Dress like a girl. Always. But let’s hope it means fun, sad, strong, sensitive, feminine, masculine, gender-fluid, trousers, dresses, colour, no colour. Let’s hope it means dress however you want to.”

Most of all, this is the point we’d like to drive home - that the choice is yours and only yours. This collection celebrates a love for both spring and colour, so look forward to earthy prints, bright colours and flowing structure. Scroll on for a glimpse into their new collection.
