Mumbai, Brunch At This Lovely Boardwalk Restaurant Is Just A Boat Ride Away!

Homegrown Staff

Feel like getting away from big city life, if only just for a little bit? Hop onto the ferry to Alibaug and find yourself at a picturesque waterfront restaurant right at the Mandwa Port - Boardwalk by Flamboyante. With a large deck overlooking the entire Arabian ocean dotted with ferries and ships being the first thing you see off the Mandwa jetty , this spot is almost too good to be true.

Truly one of its kind in the area, setting up this venue was no easy feat. “It took us two years to get all the permissions, but we were adamant on using this space,” says Devika Saigal, a partner of the restaurant to Hindustan Times. And boy are we glad. While the deck and the sea facing area really is their mainstay, there is an indoor restaurant for those who need respite from this scorching sun. Their maritime inspired decor will make you feel right at sea, so not to worry.

The kitchen is run by Flamboyante at Cuffe Parade, and the menu boasts of thin crust pizzas, fresh salads, mezze platters, shawarmas and good old boardwalk burgers and fries. And finally, the makings of any brunch - a large bar, enough to hold and serve about 200 people. This bar is the perfect setting for sundowner drinks, you could be anywhere in the world with that view, let alone being 45 minutes from Mumbai! For all those who want to turn it up, they can even sort you out with a private speed boat to and fro - have we said enough? Your best bet is to round up your crew, and make a day out of it. With the weekend coming up, it’s time you took brunch to the next level and don’t say we never told you how!
