Mumbai, Here Are Your Weekend Plans With Food, Music, & A Whole Lot Of Beer

Meghna Mathew

After nearly two years (maybe more — apologies, we seem to have lost track of time) of no events in our cities, the urge to attend one where community, food, and beverages come together is at an all-time high. More than the purchasing of memorabilia at these events, it is the feeling of being surrounded by friends (also strangers) and making the memories we missed most.

But of course, throw in some craft beer, cocktails, and lip-smacking food, and we are absolutely sold. The ninth edition of Tapped, the food, music, and drinks festival is back to give us all that we asked for. Tapped: Pouring At The Turf will take to Mahalakshmi Race Course in Mumbai on Sunday, 17 April 2022.

Founders Nevil Timbadia, Saumya Khona, and Bhakti Mehta bring to you 60 craft beers on tap from nine breweries, exciting food pop-ups, beer games, and an all-new craft cocktail bar. The craft beer list is extensive with Bombay Duck Brewing, Moonshine Meadery, Drifters, Oi Brewing, Igloo Brew Works, 2 Down Beer Co., Great State Aleworks, BrewDog, and Kimaya. Do not worry, the cocktail line-up is no less –– Stranger & Sons gin, Pumori gin, Segredo Aldeia rum, Woodburns whiskey, and Greater Than gin will all be there to stir up some mean drinks.

What is a festival without food and music? Tapped is ready to keep their guests entertained and fed at all times with the city’s top restaurants like Queen Margerita’s Pizzeria, Saransh Goila’s Bambai Meal Rolls, Mag Street, Noto, and more at the venue. Gino Banks, Rhythm Shaw, Rahul Wadhwani, Shreya Bhattacharya, Lydia, Avishek Dey, and many more artists will keep you tapping your feet.

Get yourself to the venue at noon this Sunday, and spend the day (and night) creating memories with friends, strangers, and a whole lot of beer.
