Mumbai, This Party Is All Set To Take You Back To The 20’s!

Sayli Godbole

Always fantasized of being invited to a party akin to that of Jay Gatsby’s? One where the bubbly is constantly pouring, people are swinging about to the tunes of a melodious sax, in purely opulent surroundings? While The Bombay Canteen can’t promise to check everything off on that list, their Canteen Cocktail night will take you right back to the glamorous 1920s.

India’s ‘Roaring Twenties’ earned its reputation due to a number of factors but the introduction of jazz, the art deco movement and endless parties were at the very core of it all — something The Bombay Canteen has kept in mind. Their line-up for the night includes jazz virtuoso Stuary DaCosta, along with Ramon Ibrahim on the trombone and Rhys Sebastian on the sax. As for the drinks? Let’s just say it’ll be their way of toasting to Mumbai’s collection of Art Deco buildings.

You don’t have to dress all fancy, but get ready to shake a leg! We doubt you’d get a night of retro music and drinks like this anytime soon. Don’t believe us? Take a look at the video of their last party on their Facebook page.

The Bombay Canteen has limited tables, so please contact 022-49666666 to book one. Or you could just hit the bar at 8pm.
