If you’re the kind who loves adventure, but prefers it on a plate, rather than outdoors, we’ve got some good news for you. The Land Down Under is hopping right onto our plates, courtesy Estella. Lead Chef Rohan D’Souza has helped curate a menu inspired by Australia’s culinary landscape, “The intersection of flavours from Asia & Europe coupled with some of the finest produce available makes food inspired from Australia tasty, wholesome yet progressive.” That, combined with the fact that Estella is built on a property that overlooks Juhu Beach, makes for one heck of an experience.

While Australia is well-known for their surf and turf, Estella’s menu comprises of even rarer produce sourced from Australia, including kangaroo meat and Australian barramundi. “It helped that I did a lot of hands on research, to study what their food is all about. I also helped start up a luxury beachfront restaurant property there, which helped us figure out how to source our ingredients back home,” explains Chef Rohan. With a menu that comprises of a Grilled Kangaroo Fillet, Table Charred 10 Bone Baby Back Ribs and Australia’s national dessert—the Kookaburra Pavlova, it’s a wonder we haven’t been there already!

If you’re not too much of a meat fan, they’ve also got some curated items on their Australian menu for the vegetarians. Chef Rohan himself, is a seafood fan, and recommends the Baked Crab or Grilled Lobster. Also, considering this is a special menu, you might want to go grab a bite of some rare kangaroo meat (or any Australian fare), before they switch it out with their next menu.

P.S. Estella is open all through the week, and seems like an apt location for a dinner date—right under the stars, with the ocean for company!
