Amidst the lush, green gardens of Koramangla lies a hidden gem in Bangalore, Dialogues Cafe. Keeping up with the city’s ‘start-up capital’ designation, the innovative social space is designed to unite the dreamers, entrepreneurs, artists and writers of the city. And it works on an exceptional business model too, where the only thing customers have to pay for is their time. For Rs. 190 per hour and Rs. 3 per minute over and above the first hour you can enjoy the beauty of Dialogues, fill up on the free drinks and snacks and avail of their high speed WiFi.
Bangalore is often known as the start-up Capital and this venture personifies that ideal. The cafe is the brainchild of three techies--Ankit Gupta, Uday Kiran and Saurabh Priya--who decided that Bangalore needed a place to work, to think or even just to kick back and relax away from the hectic vibe of the city. They converted the terrace of an office building into a miniature Eden, complete with vibrant vegetation and quirky decor.

Spread over two levels, Dialogues manages to create a space that’s formal but still casual. You can chill out in the reading room which is the very embodiment of cozy with plush rugs and bean bags so you can kick back with a book. Then there’s the meeting room which houses a conference table and chairs to hold all your important gatherings, it doesn’t cost extra to rent but you will have to book in advance to use it. The second floor however is where the real luxury is, complete with hammocks so their patrons never have to compromise on comfort.
This truly innovative venture has created a space born of and fostered by the entrepreneurial spirit is truly at home in the Silicon Valley of India. Although it’s a success story in itself we feel sure that many more start-ups will come together under this brilliantly unique roof.
