Sandunes Curates: Top 10 South-Asian Sounds

Admin

Thoughts from the curator:

"We've been so busy complaining about how small, how mainstream and how under developed the Indian electronic music space is- seems like we've forgotten to notice that things are in fact, changing. South Asian electronic artists have in the last year or so, been putting out music that's a bit harder today to put into a genre-box. If it's coming out of their studios, it's only a matter of time before we begin hearing more of it at our clubs and on our dance floors.

Here's a list of what I think is next level electronica, all indigenous to our homeland and her neighbours. Essentially- homegrown, but influenced by sounds that range from techno to trip hop, let’s call it 'eclectronica'?" - Sandunes.
