Fielia, Mumbai’s most elusive invite-only bar, unveils 'The Secret Affair' — a seven-course, seven-act supper theatre where Pride, Greed, Gluttony, Sloth, Envy, Wrath, and Lust come alive through decadent dishes, provocative cocktails, and immersive, cinematic staging. Want in? DM @fieliabombay — if you dare.

Pride, Greed, Gluttony, Sloth, Envy, Wrath, and Lust. If you could taste the seven deadly sins without any repercussions, would you?

Conceived as an immersive epicurean performance, ‘The Secret Affair’ — a seven-course, seven-act supper theatre — builds on Fielia’s evolving ‘Sin & Scandal’ narrative.

If you happen to be in Mumbai on February 15 and 16, you can. All you have to do is visit Fielia — an invite-only cocktail-forward aperitivo bar designed by Gauri Khan and brought to life by Afsana Verma, Amit Verma, and Dhaval Udeshi at the Mahalaxmi Race Course.

Conceived as an immersive epicurean performance, ‘The Secret Affair’ — a seven-course, seven-act supper theatre — builds on Fielia’s evolving ‘Sin & Scandal’ narrative, combining cinematic culinary expression with theatrical pacing, mood shifts, and carefully choreographed moments. This edition showcases the exceptional collaboration between Chef Hitesh Shanbhag and Beverage Director Fay Barretto, promising an evening in which dining, entertainment, and desire converge over a sinfully indulgent tasting menu.

The evening begins with Pride, a caviar tartlet that struts onto the table as if it knows it’s the most expensive item in the room. Greed follows closely, dripping with ponzu gelée, wasabi espuma, and truffle — a carpaccio that nearly dares you to want more. Gluttony abandons shame altogether with a slow-braised pork belly or a richly glazed eggplant “belly”, celebrating fat, flavor, and fullness without restraint.

Fielia is Mumbai’s newest invite-only bar that already looks like it’s hiding a scandal or two.

As night falls and the pace slows deliberately, Sloth manifests as a soft alpine sage gnocchi — chevre-filled, buttery, and comforting — encouraging guests to linger, pause, and enjoy stillness. Envy enters the scene as mushrooms — butter-poached king oyster and layered textures that evoke comparison, curiosity, and longing. Wrath disrupts the calm with fire and spice, as lobster-and-scampi pappardelle or fiery vodka spaghetti bring heat, smoke, and intensity that build to a climax. Lust, the final act, embodies pure temptation — a molten chocolate ganache, torched marshmallow cloud, graham soil, and salted caramel lava designed to be broken, shared, and desired. Cocktails complement the experience with bold, seductive pairings that enhance the evening’s sensorial shock and awe.

Cocktails by Beverage Director Fay Barretto complement the experience with bold, seductive pairings that enhance the evening’s sensorial shock and awe.

And of course, all of this unfolds inside Fielia, Mumbai’s newest invite-only bar that already looks like it’s hiding a scandal or two. Afsana Verma, Amit Verma, and Dhaval Udeshi built the space as an invitation-only playground for adults who like their nights atmospheric, intimate, and tastefully improper. Designed by Gauri Khan, the bar’s double-height drama and theatre-box mezzanine turn the room into a perfect stage for a supper theatre that thrives on tension, seduction, and slow-burning spectacle.

Fielia operates on an invite-only basis, with dining available only by advance reservation, and weekends reserved exclusively for invited guests. DM @fieliabombay for access.
