A Grecian Getaway Home Awaits 350 Kilometres From Mumbai

Sara H.

Anyone familiar with Mumbai-city life can agree that trying to keep up with its fast pace get tiring. We all need a break from time to time, a quick respite even if it’s just for the weekend. Now, while we wish we could jet off to an idyllic Mediterranean country and soak up some sun by the beach, it’s a dent in our account balance that we just cannot afford.

So we’d head to the next best thing, a stunning Greek-style apartment in Ganpatipule, in a small town of the Ratnagiri district on the Konkan coast, with a terrace that gives you a spectacular view of the sea. The One is a two-bedroom apartment that accommodates four guests, and the best part, it’s pet-friendly!

You should keep in mind that the space is on the second floor with no elevator access, but you do get a pay off with a panoramic view of a lush green forest on one side and the pristine waters at the other. With all the essentials plus board games, beach chairs and beautiful view, you can unwind in the artistically-curated rooms or lounge on the terrace and watch the sunset on the horizon as you sip some chilled ice tea.

This little slice of paradise is located about four kilometres from Ganpatipule beach if you feel like stepping out and exploring, you can even drive out to Jaigad as the host Niyoti suggests. It’ll take you about 7 hours to get to Ganpatipule from Mumbai and 6 hours from Pune. All of this will cost you approximately INR 5,500 per night, and after seeing the photographs (just read through the reviews) of The One we doubt you’ll need much convincing.
