Music labels on the block are now going out of their way to create a name not just for their artists but for their own label and brands as well. One such way has been to come out with limited edition merch that best represents them visually.

We at Homegrown, love cool, unique, and eye-catching merch that gets conversations started and makes you want to turn twice and these two definitely managed to do that.

I. Bare Recordings

Mumbai-based Djs and music producer Krishna Luthria (Potter) & Veer Kowli (chrms) co-founded the label Bare Recordings in 2020. Inspired by nostalgic and abstract virtual reality their label’s primary goal has been to create a platform for international and local producers so that they can experiment and creatively express with different forms of club music.

To launch the label they came up with the concept of Mental Movie Theatre that sonically triggered its listeners to create theatre in their minds and come up with their own personal interpretation.

To tease the launch they had also come out with the Limited Bare Dance Utility Apparel which perfectly complimented the mood board of the launch. If the launch was a sonic trigger, the black tee with minimal bare logo in the front and the mental movie theatre graphic art in the back were the perfect visual trigger and a great way to amp up the cool quotient of your wardrobe.

II. Milkman x Planet Luke

Right from building the foundations of India’s nocturnal, warehouse-rave culture to curating international and local artists that are at the forefront of the electronic music underground scene, Mumbai-based Milkman Crew has been known to be a formidable and pioneering force in India’s ever-evolving electronic music scene. A natural progression to their sub-cultural endeavours would be their new record label – Milkman Records.

Adding spunk to your wardrobe this season is their collaboration with UK based rave revivalist and graphic artist – Luca Lozano. The limited edition merch is super baggy, made of high-quality CP cotton rich fabric, and are in their words “probably our most comfortable and high quality t-shirt yet.”

Offering the tees in two colours – black with purple logo and white with black logo they are sure to add character to your closets.
