The Pulwama Attack In Kashmir Claimed The Lives Of 40 CPRF Officers — Here Is How You Can Help

Homegrown Staff

On Thursday, February 14, 2019, Kashmir witnessed the bloodiest terrorist attack it is said to have experienced in the last three decades. This attack was the result of a collision between a suicide bomber’s explosives laden vehicle with a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bus in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The bomber has been identified as 22-year-old local Adil Ahmed. Terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The attack claimed lives of more than 40 CPRF officers, who were part of the 78-vehicle convoy that was ferrying 2,500 personnel from Jammu to Srinagar. Most officers were said to be returning from leave to resume duty in Srinagar.

Following the gruesome attack The Government of India has set up a website — bharatkeveer.gov.in — for those looking to help families of the officers who lost their lives. Also, the website has a feature that gives you the option to choose a particular soldier’s family that you would like to help.

Now is the time to set aside differences, join hands and help those who have been affected the most by this horrific attack — the martyrs’ families.
