This Beautiful ‘Cave Resort’ In Bangalore Is The Perfect Monsoon Hideout

Cara Shrivastava

If you were ever an avid reader as a child, at some point you have to have come across magical caves (if not, you were clearly reading the wrong books...or not reading at all). Whether it was hidden behind a waterfall, or one underwater, or even one in an Amazonian jungle; they all had one thing in common— a sense of adventure. While it’s hard to imagine one living comfortably in a cave (it cannot just be me who’s worried about jagged rocks or the cold ground), the Guhantara Resort in Bangalore promises otherwise.

The lush resort is ‘cave themed’ and aims to create a space for people who would just like to spend the day there, and those who wish to spend a night or two. Their day activities cater to both, small family groups, as well as larger corporate groups that wish to conduct team-building activities. From swimming, volleyball, horse riding and trekking, to billiards, badminton, table tennis, and paintball, there’s something for everyone!

It isn’t an authentic cave experience, but it does meet our expectations and manages to create the ideal setting for a tranquil getaway. Plus, they’ve even got a spa located there for those of you who are looking for more of a relaxed weekend, over one packed with activity.
