Not much comes close to clinking glasses of beer with your loved ones after a long, hard day, or even on a relaxed weekend. The chilled beverage holds the ability to allow people to converse, bond, and simply create unforgettable memories.
The rise of homegrown beer has been exponential for a few years now. With beer being brewed locally, even consumers are implementing a shift in their preferences. After all, brewing one’s own beer makes room for a range of flavours, leaving beer lovers spoilt for choice.
Among those is Bombay Duck Brewing, a small independently owned brewery in Bombay making handcrafted, artisanal ales. Founded in 2015, the brewery is on a mission to get you that glass of good beer and even delivers in Mumbai.
On their menu mainstays are — Bombae, an elegant golden unfliltered lager with a gorgeous fluffy head that has an initial malt sweetness with fresh tropical and floral hop aromas and Rice & Shine, a crisp and dry, traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale made with local rice varieties with a pale straw colour, a faintly spicy hop aroma and lively carbonation.
Their limited releases currently include — Sunset, a traditional Belgian-style Witbier brewed with a twist of hops and spices that is light and refreshing with aromas of citrus and coriander and Thirst Trap, a New England-style IPA showcasing modern American or New World hop varieties with a balance that is hop-forward with notes of citrus, pear, and melon beaming with tropical fruit flavours.
