Positions of physical and mental danger can be extremely overwhelming –– the need for help in such situations is of utmost importance. Prompt reactions by anyone who can help may result in saving someone’s life or prevent them from grave injuries.

Several times, one would wish to call for help, but have no idea of which number to dial for which situation. However, there exists an exhaustive list of emergency helpline numbers accessible to everyone across India.

  • Kiran Mental Health Helpline: 18005990019This Government helpline may be called for ‘anxiety, depression, stress, panic attack, post-traumatic stress disorder, adjustment disorder, suicidal thoughts, substance abuse, mental health emergency, and pandemic induced psychological issues’.Apart from this, the Jeevan Aastha Helpline is verified for ‘suicide, depression, career counselling and addiction’.
