Etsy’s Looking For DIY Creators From Across India - Sign Up Now!

Homegrown Staff

All over the world, craft creators have always looked upon Etsy – a global e-commerce platform that helps bridge the gap between creators and customers – as a way of being discovered. And finally, with Etsy’s arrival in India this October, creators of modern India too will be able to hop on to this bandwagon!

Throughout history, Indian handiwork has been so deeply cherished that we often take for granted how innovative our fashion designers, painters, jewellers, illustrators, and other creative communities are. At ‘Etsy Creators Loft’, an event by Homegrown, we promise to shift that attitude by breathing life back and celebrating Indian artistry by showcasing an eclectic bunch of talented artists, collectives and entrepreneurs who truly exude the DIY spirit. The aim of this event is to create a space to showcase and drive conversation around empowering artistic communities across all disciplines.

From a hands-on denim customisation workshop, a crash course in zine-making to a unique experience of playing around with materials like wood and paper, Etsy Creators Loft is an opportunity for you to learn and interact with pioneers in the field like Bombay Underground, Studio Wood, The Little Elfins, and Lianne Texeira. However, the spirit of innovation does not end here. Expect to be pulled into an afternoon of quirky pop-ups by Art&Found, Dharavi Art Room, Fiesty Lu Denim, Boheco, and many more! Chamar Studio, along with its dedicated team of artisans, will be taking the audience through their process of working with rubber sheets. We’ve also organised a special talk by Makers Asylum. If you want to register for any of the above0mentioned workshops, you can do so by filling up a quick Google form.

At Homegrown, we believe in the importance of local art and the ability it has to tell beautifully diverse stories. In tandem with that thought, Etsy Creators Loft is not just a full day’s burst of colour, quirk and creativity but also an opportunity for you, the creator, to put yourself out there and become a part of this country’s thriving craft community. So be it art, clothing, craft, home decor, jewellery or absolutely anything under the sun, as far as it is made with a bit of love and DIY spirit, it’s important. And we’re going to help you get yourself out there.

All you have to do is click on the link below, set up an Etsy shop, and get access to customers across 80 countries, no matter where you are in India.
