The Most Unique Faces At Amazon India Fashion Week SS2017 By Rawky Ksh

Homegrown Staff

Fashion photographer Rawky Ksh has become a household name at Amazon India Fashion Week largely for his intimate portraits of the variety of people who attend--the most fascinating aspect of any fashion week according to us.

Choosing to focus on the most unusual yet striking faces rather than the apparel at an event that’s far more about the latter, Ksh’s work is incredibly refreshing and particularly unforgettable–nudging viewers to acknowledge just how varied our population is. Each portrait reflects personalities that represent a new wave of Indian youth that’s unconfined by standards set by Indian society, our culture, or even the entertainment and fashion industry. Although it doesn’t seem intentional in parts, this body of work gives hope of an India that celebrates its diversity and uniqueness rather than tearing it down to meet a set idealised, superficial image of beauty.
