Watch: Ever Wondered What The Human Skeleton Looks Like Doing Yoga?

Homegrown Staff

A few weeks ago (or maybe months, who knows in the age of viral content?) we all lost a few minutes of our lives ogling over an MRI view of what’s really going on inside a human body during sex. And now, a team of animators and medical experts have decided to take things to another level. We can’t say next, because we’re not sure how these two compare on an hierarchical scale, but we can vouch for the fact that this is just as fascinating.

The project in question? Introducing an x-ray view of what the human skeleton looks like while performing advanced yoga poses. Apparently, this team didn’t realise that it was incredible enough to watch without all the gimmickry for us slobs and laggards but we appreciate them making us even more intrigued.

In the words of its creators:

‘Our goal for this piece was to create a realistic representation of radiological (x-ray) imaging. Instead of just creating a still image, however, we wanted to combine the beautiful moves of yoga with this new visual approach to bring the full human skeleton to life.’

And here are some stills from the video for your perusal/ enjoyment:
