The uprising of craft beer continues. As people become more attuned to the many subtleties that exist within the spectrum of flavours, the number of breweries continue to grow. Now in their fourth installment, the Tapped Beer Festival is the only one of its kind that celebrates the many artisanal beer brewers across the country and this Sunday 18th they’re back with another celebration of music, food and most importantly, 40 amazing craft beers on tap.

This edition is being held at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai and features a fresh new line-up along with some old familiars for a day-long carnival. On the beer front all of the city’s favourite names Gateway Brewing Co. and Brewbot are making an appearance as well as some Pune locals, Independence Brewing Co., Kimaya Brewing Company, Effingut and Great State Aleworks. This festival will also mark the entry of Bangalore mainstay Toit and their incredible variety of ales. Bombay Duck Brewing is curating a special batch especially for Tapped and Ninkasi Brewworks is experimenting with local ingredients and international styles. So if you’ve been looking for some fresh flavours, here’s the place to be. For those who aren’t big beer drinkers (if there is such a travesty), Moonshine Meadery will be serving up a range of meads and ciders in various fruity flavours and all sweetened with honey.

To soak it all up will be names like The Blue, a Bandra favourite in Thai and Japanese cuisine, Hoppums bringing you fresh appams and moilee, and Pack-A-Pav and Bohri Kitchen for mutton samosas and kabab pav - the perfect drunk snacks. If it’s meat you’re after head to Hokus Porkus for Akhuni Pork, Bacon Ice-Cream and Pork Popcorn or find smoky ribs at Death By BBQ. These eateries and many many more will be on-site to make sure you always have the bar snack of your desire.

There will be plenty of opportunities to take some home for later too1 At the Tapped Marketplace. The newly introduced concept offers curated produce like cheese & fruit platters by Casa del Cheese, healthy crackers by All Heart to go with them and more than 20 nut butter flavours by Butters & More.

There’s more than enough going on to while the day away eating and drinking but head to the special experiential zone to play games like Mini Golf, Giant Jenga, Tipsy Darts and Beer Pong and win yourself some free beers. If that’s too much work for drunk you to deal with sit back and take in the sounds of Aarifah Rebello, neo-blues band Kanchan Daniels & The Beards or Bombay Jazz Club.
