At some point or the other, we’ve all experienced the feeling of helplessness when seeing an injured bird or animal on the street. Unsure of what we can do at that moment, we often just comfort our uneasiness and move on. Realising this problem, NGOs and animal lovers around the country have come together to set up services and helplines that we can reach out to in times of need. They deal with a wide range of issues, from sterilisation and first aid to rescue and relocating urban wildlife.
We’ve compiled a list that you should keep handy for the next time you come across an animal or bird that needs help.
