2 Indian Motorsport Racers Breaking The Mould

Mira Erda created history when she was one of the two Indians to be shortlisted to join 55 drivers from 25 countries to be evaluated in order to participate in the prestigious W Series in 2019. W Series is the first ever single-seater racing championship for women. It aims to encourage greater female participation in motorsport. Also the first Indian woman to race in the Euro JK series, Erda’s love for the sport began when she was all of 9 years old. This love for speed has helped Erda bag awards and accolades both nationally and internationally.

Priyanka Kochhar is a model and the only female motorcycle blogger in the country. She passed on a corporate career and joined India’s modelling circuit in her late twenties, an anomaly to say the least, experiencing significant success in spite of her timing. Her alternate passion as a biker and motorcycle enthusiast embodies the second side of her personality. Neither a stereotypical model, nor racer, it’s not like she’s easily slotted anyway. Having found success in two distinctly opposite fields, Kochar is entirely representative of the next generation of creatives

These two extremely inspiring individuals and trailblazers in their respective fields got together to share their love for speed, their need to break the mould and a lot more.
