Architecture and design take on a new meaning at Renesa Studio’s new pop-up studio, in one of the world’s most bustling airport; Mumbai. Comprising of a cutting edge and a bold block design; Opium, known for housing premium eyewear lifestyle brands makes avid use of unique spatial elements in their branding. The unique interpretation was designed so as to showcase the stacking of multiple products, thereby creatively savouring the space element. The tactful and innovative arrangement showcases the ‘ways of display’ factor. Making it visually appealing and preserving the functional aspect.

The chartreuse tainted arched entrance, gives off a futuristic sheen to the brand sign, illuminating the whole visual concept, setting it apart from the mundane. The neon geometric design is what grabs the customers attention provoking them to saunter right in. A true marketing tactic, that has grabbed their prospects grappling with other competitors.

The design is also centred around catering as per the clientele’s needs, making use of an unorthodox and iconographic product presentation, paving way for different elements to come into play together; forming an interaction based as per the client’s needs. Each varied pattern of eyeware sits concealed within the neon shaded grids. These monotoned hued shelves create an extended illusion, the whole idea was to create an effervescent store to encapsulate what eyewear does; enhancing one’s sight.

“The project is not merely about designing an optical store, it is to create an ambience in which public space and private space are deconstructed and placed in the same field to maintain a strong visual character. The result is an eccentric experience through a simple vision of color blocking.”
