The Ladakh Ecological Development Group, or LEDeG, runs an eco-friendly hostel that is situated right below Shanti Stupa, far away from the main bazaar with a view of the town on one side and an awe-inspiring view of the Himalayas on the other. At an extremely affordable rate, these modest rooms are completely solar-powered. They are also associated with the Youth Hostels Association of India.
