Apply Now For An Urban Design Competition To Build Sustainable Cities
Streets For People

The Indian Smart City Mission in association with Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) is launching an innovative challenge inviting architects and urbanists to reimagine their city spaces. The challenge called #streetsforpeople will give the participants a platform to display their designs for better Indian cities. The challenge will see participation from over 100 cities and will be a launching pad for the winners to transform their ideas into concrete reality.

In the city-led design challenge, participants will also get the opportunity to be a part of the COVID-19 green recovery initiative. The initiative collaborates with citizens and experts to create ‘walking-friendly streets’, keeping the pandemic induced social distancing norm at the forefront.

The competition will be judged on some key factors including sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and innovation.

For more information on this challenge, you can head to the Streets For People website.
