We, at Homegrown understand that, and in keeping with your quarantine aspirations, we invite you to explore Homegrown’s upcoming HG Academy session with the dream-pop duo, Parekh & Singh today, 28 May at 6:15 pm IST on Instagram @homegrowin.
Parekh sings, plays the guitar, keyboards and synths, while Singh plays the drums, drum machines, and effects. While Nischay has one foot in this world and the other in the realm of dreams, Jivraj is a student of math and logic and drawn to life’s darker recesses. Friends, enemies, neighbours and brothers, together they make music of whimsical, magical beauty.
Today, in their special live session with HG Academy, the duo will converse on how independent artists and creatives like themselves, are navigating and adapting to the changing tides using diverse, innovative approaches. Hosted by theatre student, Pooja Sivaraman, this is one of the most delightful live features by HG Academy, a platform offering the contemporary Indian youth a space to both enjoy and upskill themselves.
The idea behind the origin of #HGAcademy goes way back into the first few weeks of quarantine. We built HG Academy to help people ease their way out of it through its entertaining, but educative sessions with eminent personalities from various fields. Sessions at HG Academy comprise digital festivals, skill-building sessions, new personal & professional strategies and similar efforts towards connecting you to the world of creators to learn and be inspired. Our aim is to introduce you to the ropes of creative processes and creative entrepreneurship through our sessions, which we promise, have something for everyone.
