Sarang Gupta's fashion photography centres his subjects as bold outlets of creative and aesthetic power. There's a radiant energy and a dynamism that pervades his body of work; allowing it to transcend the confines of a what you see across more run-of-the-mill photography projects. Through his unique creative process he's able to create editorials that draw the eye to the depth, poise and lifelike electricity of his subjects.

This is precisely what stands out about his recent shoot for homegrown brand 'til', which stood out as being a sublime embrace of the textural elements of fabric and the beauty of the human body.

"The idea of making pictures comes as instinctively to me as possible. And whatever happens first shot onwards happens is a state of trance and cannot be articulated."

In each picture from the series, Sarang captures and invokes the same intricate narratives of fantasy and whimsy that are embedded in the fabric of the garments themselves; creating a multidisciplinary tapestry where fashion, photography and storytelling coalesce.

"My inspirations stem from a blend of visual arts, architecture, music, nature and poetry but Cinema at its apex can amalgamate all of these and present it as one wholesome experience. So whether it's story telling or emoting through visuals, good Cinema has been my prime source of inspiration for years now."
