We know how crucial the time you spend with your pet is - what with their hectic schedule filled with naps and mealtimes, and more naps. I mean, where do you even fit in? Well, we’ve found a whole bunch of reasons for your furry friend to include you in their plans and there’s something in it for you as well. Gone are the days where they had to worry about how you would cope with the big scary world without them. Here’s a list of places they can take you to, finally allowing for that much-needed quality time with your favourite four-legged furries, if only to survive this big bad world.

Home ground of golden Labrador Apple, Gostana offers up healthy burgers and sandwiches to the humans, while giving the real guest in question plenty of space to wander and hang about. If you haven’t planned a meal in advance, give them an hour’s notice and they can get some chicken and rice ready for your dog. Word on the street is that their hummus is legendary, so make sure you give it a try. They are not open to pets until the monsoon ends, so just make sure you check in with them before you plan a visit.

When the motto is ‘Even Humans Are Allowed’ we know they’re the ones we’ve been looking for. Mutt Hutt Cafe is a pop-up cafe, currently only catering to dogs and their humans, that floats around to a different location in Mumbai every few months. The two sisters who own Mutt Hutt, Trupti Zaveri and Bhakti Bhukhanwala are using this model to test the waters before they set up a permanent cafe with the same target audience. The Pop Up has snacks and treats for dogs that consider nutrition very seriously, as well as grooming stations, training sessions and a chance to have your dog photographed by a professional. They even do concept based events such as christmas, sunday brunch, and holi. The idea is to spend quality time with your dog, and allow them to be sociable. Their events last about 2-3 hours so be sure to make the most of it. Follow their Facebook page to know when their next event will be.

“There are so many pet parents in Mumbai who don’t leave their homes because they don’t want to leave their pet alone. Now, they feel very comfortable to bring their pets over to our taprooms in Bandra and Andheri. The pets are always well-behaved (sometimes more than the owners!), and seem to enjoy hanging out, making friends with other dogs and people,” Tresha Guha, Brand Manager at Doolally, stated in a release. They even do weekend morning sessions on first aid for your pet, cooking for your best friend, and behavior sessions with certified canine therapists. They also host a ton of adoption drives, and a photo booth session with pets in the pipeline, so stay tuned!
