A 100% Natural Period Pain Relief Roll-On Invented By Two IIT Students

This International Women’s Day, two Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-Delhi) students –– Archit Agarwal and Harry Sehrawat introduced to the world their unique creation –– a 100 percent natural period pain relief roll-on called Sanfe. The roll-on uses a combination of eucalyptus, menthol and wintergreen essential oils that supposed have an uplifting effect on the user’s mood as well.

This formula is said to offer immediate relief once applied on the affected region. It took Agarwal and Sehrawat seven moths of trial an error to finalise the present day formulation. Sanfe is effective for upto eight hours post application, and 10 ml of the solution is said to last for three period cycles and has an expiration date of three years from the date of manufacturing.

Thr roll-on is said to unique because of the way it deals with cramps –– providing a cooling effect followed by providing heat to the affected area. “This is the best way to handle period pain,” said Agarwal in an interview with The Better India. “One of my friends could not write her exam properly and was feeling terrible about it. On questioning she confided that she could not study well because of period pains. From there we got the idea and we thought we should do something about it,” he added.

The 100 percent natural roll-on has no side effects. This was determined after conducting clinical trials Clinical trials on two age groups –– 14-year-olds to 28-year-olds comprised group one and 28-year olds to 35-year-olds comprised group two. The trials were conducted at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
