Whether it be at a serene beach with the waves crashing against your toes or at a packed nightclub with your favourite people dancing around you, a classic Whiskey Sour is sure to fit into the situation seamlessly. In the absence of the possibility of both these scenarios, we’ve got just the fix for you.

Make My Cocktail’s simple Pineapple and Kaffir Lime Whiskey Sour brings the tropical outdoors to you, along with a rather easy-to-follow tutorial video. Accompanied with fitting music and mesmerising voice-over of the instructions, the video plays with ASMR to give you a rather exceptional reason to mix this beautiful cocktail at home.

Chunks of juicy pineapple, sheets of crushed kaffir lime leaves, promising juice of lemons, and of course, the Bourbon of your choice — the protagonists of the Whiskey Sour are accompanied with sugar, pineapple juice, aromatic bitters, and heaps of ice. Together, they complete what is your answer to a hot, gloomy day.

Here is the recipe, as put together by Make My Cocktail:

Ingredients

Fresh Pineapple - Big slice

Kaffir Lime Leaves - 5-6

Lime/Lemon - Half, medium sized

Pineapple Juice - 20 ml

Sugar Syrup - 15-20 ml

Aromatic Bitters

Bourbon

Pineapple Leaves for garnish

Ice - lots!

Method

Chop a big slice of fresh pineapple into chunks. Place in a shaker along with 4-5 kaffir lime leaves, juice of half a medium sized lime/lemon. Muddle well. Add pineapple juice, sugar syrup, 4-5 drops of aromatic bitters, 60 ml bourbon, lots of ice. Shake well and hard for 40-50 seconds. Pour your beautiful drink into an ‘old fashioned’ glass, add ice, crush and rub a kaffir lime leaf on the rim. Garnish with fresh pineapple and pineapple leaves.
