Attend A Disco Themed Rooftop Sundowner & Thrift Store Pop-Up In Bengaluru

India’s journey with sustainable fashion received an additional boost during the lockdown when a new wave of online thrift stores became the norm. The internet acted as a catalyst in sparking a new trend which in the span of the last two years has settled in with a majority of Gen-Z patrons who are now rethinking and reframing their approach towards fast fashion and its adverse effects. Brands promoting this trend are adopting a creative

Disco>ery Culture, an online thrift shop that is inspired by the disco scene of the 70s and the 80s is at the forefront of creating a community that is driven by style, aesthetics and shared love for sustainable fashion. The brand which has now for four years curated an extensive range of pre-loved, non-binary clothing is now taking its business offline with a physical thrift store pop-up in Bengaluru on the 12th of June, 2022.

An All-Star Gathering

A year ago, Disco>ery Culture celebrated its third year anniversary with the best of disco music, stick and poke tattoo stalls and a thrift pop-up featuring its own collection. The sundowner featured some of the rising artists of the Indian electronic music scene along with exquisite cocktails and an unmissable sunset that set the vibe right for a perfect sundowner. A little over a year later, the team is back again, this time, bringing together Bengaluru’s larger community of thrift stores to showcase their curation offline, adding an exciting twist to retail therapy.

The event will also host a vinyl pop-up in collaboration with the city-based record store, On The Jungle Floor and will have artists Alina, Unnayana, DAISHO, Brown Monkey and more firing up the decks. The live event will also host two stick and poke tattoo stalls by @gayacreates and @freedomtofish.

The sundowner is set to take place on Sunday, the 12th of June, at the Koramangala Social rooftop.
