Calling all theater enthusiasts! There’s an exciting new event coming up this weekend you’re not going to want to miss. Swan Song, a play by Zorian Cross Productions, is an experiment of styles and creates a unique experience for the audience. A first of its kind in the country, the production adapts the classic French Cabaret into a dramatic musical, with a stunning live performance by actress Nisa Shetty.

Accompanied by a pianist and two dancers, Shetty portrays and sings the story of a luxurious cabaret showgirl Belle de Nuit, taking the audience through her life in the footlights and tragicomic love affairs. The show is focused on adult audiences, and blends music, theater, and social critic altogether.

Swan Song was written by the acclaimed Zorian Cross, an award-winning actor and director based in New Delhi. A popular figure in the city’s LGBTQ community, the artist has acted in more than 15 acts and directed five, from Shakespeare to his own original work. With avant-garde dramas full of dark humor and naughty sarcasm, his company is revolutionising the theatre scene in the national capital.

The exotic act is being presented during the weekends, and tickets can be bought online or via telephone for INR 500. You can find more information about the event on Swan Song’s official facebook page. But you’re going to want to hurry up, the play is on only until the 18th of June!
