With incessant rain and strong winds for the past few days in Mumbai, the city has seen multiple cases of waterlogging, collapses and uprooting of trees. The situation has brought plenty of challenges for the city’s inhabitants, especially given the COVID-19 situation.
The India Meteorological Department informed that the rains are expected to continue today, 7 August, even though some relief was seen earlier in the day. The National Disaster Response Force, hence, remains on high alert.
The BMC has taken to Twitter to provide highlights of all flood-related accidents and mishaps. They also provide updates on when the issues are resolved, accompanied by pictures of the affected areas.
