Within India’s evolving live music ecosystem, the lines between genres are growing increasingly fluid. No longer confined to rigid categories, today’s artists move freely across sonic territories — from alt-rock and R&B to rap, electronica, and experimental hybrids. And yet, even as this musical vocabulary expands, spaces that consistently spotlight this cross-genre creativity remain few and far between. What’s often missing isn’t talent, but a sustained infrastructure that champions live performance as an essential cultural act — not just a spectacle.
Which is where Misfits Inc. comes in. As a boutique creative studio rooted in bold curation and fearless storytelling, Misfits has carved out a reputation for nurturing artists who are unafraid to push aesthetic, emotional, and genre boundaries. Their projects consistently reflect a deep commitment to experimentation — not just in sound, but in the ways music is presented, supported, and experienced. With offerings that span music supervision, production, label services, and now a distinctive live programming arm, Misfits is building a framework where creative exploration is central.
Enter Not Dead Yet — a month-long Thursday night residency at Mumbai’s antiSOCIAL, Returning for its second edition from July 31 to August 21, the series promises four curated nights that celebrate the richness and unpredictability of India’s music underground.

He shares the bill with Sidd Coutto & The Grinfluencers’ infectious energy, as well as dynamic new acts Green Park and Dohnraj & The Peculiars. The night includes Ananda Sen performing work from his latest album, a set by Kolkata legends The Supersonics, the debut of Still In Therapy, and a rare, intimate solo set by Neel Adhikari.
The third showcase on August 14 embraces alt-electronica and rap, marking one year of SKMGM by EXCISE DEPT.
