Head To This Himalayan Zero Waste Festival About Mindfulness & Self-Exploration
Project Shoonya

How well do you know yourself?

This simple question can be quite puzzling to many. In this digital age of online personas, most of us have lost touch with who we truly are. Additionally, as city-dwellers surrounded by bustling crowds and noisy vehicles, we have also lost our connection with nature.

If these sentiments resonate with you, and you’re looking for a quick break to close your summer in, Shoonya Festival is just the place for you! Unlike other art and music festivals happening in the Himalayas, it is a one-of-its-kind festival that celebrates ‘nothingness’. Shoonya is a festive journey towards the joyful discovery of inner contentment. With 15+ activities around mindfulness and impressive musical line-ups, this festival is all set to bring 100 seekers closer to nature and themselves. The festival will have experiences, workshops and activities such as Mandala making, Essential Oils Making, Concrete Jewelry Making, Drum Circle, Yoga, Meditation, Sound Healing, Cosmic Healing, Zumba, Upcycling waste, Self-exploration activities, Sharing Circle, Community Kitchen, Letter Earthlings, Nature Walks, Storytelling, Poetry recitals, EDM and more. Every night will have musical line-ups that will go perfectly with the sounds of rivers flowing nearby.

The festival endeavors to be a zero-waste festival with proper waste management using upcycling methods. The festival will take place in MudHouse Experiential Hostel located in Jibhi, Himachal Pradesh. Jibhi is a beautiful unexplored small hamlet located in the Banjar valley. Surrounded by pine, deodar and cedar trees with traditional houses built using stone, mud, and wood, this hamlet serves as a perfect destination. The festival offers different types of stay options starting from Quechua camps to private rooms.
