008 PayalJairaj Payal Jairaj is something of an oddity in the alternative music industry. Considering she spent close to three years in telecom in Dubai, it certainly wasn't what she had envisioned for herself either. Four years in however (she spent a few years at
Submerge before joining
KRUNK) it's pretty evident that her unplanned entry into the world of musical events was fated. Again, this makes perfect sense because over the past few months i've come to appreciate her fatalistic attitude. It gives her striking individuality in a space that adheres to norms, albeit the untraditional ones. And in her case, it masks itself in a positivity that's always comforting to be around.
We found this playlist especially unique because it's so unabashedly open-minded. She doesn't let anything entirely dictate her preferences in sound even while taking what she loves about them. She herself admits she has no preference of genres which is probably why you'll find that her playlist spans across everything from Bollywood to Bob Marley.
Without further ado, here's a musical map to her life.
I. Getting Up & In The ShowerI'm a closet bathroom singer so it's fun for me to start off my day with a fun track like this.
